Muck Rack today announced the recent appointment of Linda Zebian to the newly created position of Director of Communications. As Muck Rack’s Head of Communications, Linda will set the communications strategy for Muck Rack’s business, both internally and externally, including messaging, issues management, media relations and communication with employees.
Linda joins Muck Rack from The New York Times, where she spent 10 years in various communications roles, developing and executing communications strategies for the business side of the business, including growth, products and technology to strengthen the innovation and financial success of The Times, drive subscription growth and improve retention, build brand affinity and attract top talent. Most recently, she served as an independent communications consultant and, prior to that, executive director, corporate communications. She also served as director and manager of corporate communications during her tenure.
Prior to joining The Times, Linda was a communications associate at Consumer Reports and also served as conference content manager and associate editor at Folio, a b-to-b publication. She started her career at Images & Details, a lifestyle PR agency.
His appointment comes at a time of rapid growth for Muck Rack, the public relations management (PRM) software platform that enables organizations to build trust, tell their stories and demonstrate the unique value of earned media. The company, which welcomed 65 new employees in 2021, bringing its total to 150, plans to add more than 100 more to its roster of fully remote employees in 2022.
