One of the strengths of the Ehopper is its ease of folding. Like many folding bikes, it does require saddle height adjustment, so beware of that when unfolding the bike, but once you get the hang of the process, it only takes about ten seconds for the bike to unfold. make transportable. This and its compact size mean it’s ideal for taking a train or bus without worrying about taking up space.

The ride itself is relatively smooth thanks to the wide tires, although there was a crunch undermining the confidence of the bike’s joints. every time he passed over a bump in the road. There is only one frame size, which can be limiting if you are above average height, but the fit of the bike is adjustable via the post and saddle height. At 170cm this tester found it to be sufficient, but another 180cm rider struggled to find sufficient saddle height.

The Ehopper comes with five assist modes and will assist at speeds up to the legal limit of 15.5 mph. In a flat urban area, you probably won’t need to power up, but if you live anywhere with hills, you’ll probably find yourself using the higher level quite often. He struggled on slopes due to low battery power and small wheels. The assist, however, kicks in fairly quickly, making it ideal for starting from traffic lights or junctions, with barely a lag.

The display on the handlebars provides you with information such as mileage, assistance level and battery level. Perry even included additional items that take him from a practical bike to something extremely practical; there is a luggage rack, bag, mudguards and lights. The test bike even included a lock, which is well thought out for quick stops at the store – or the bakery, if you’re of the same mindset as this tester.

The Rad Power Bikes RadRover is perhaps the most popular electric bike in the United States. In fact, according to the company, it’s “North America’s best-selling e-bike,” and I see the fat-tire e-bike all the time when I walk around town.

Now the company has gone ahead and completely redesigned the bike, bringing a more premium design (and price) with the new RadRover 6 Plus.

For reference, here is the old bike:

And here’s the new one:

RadRover 6 Plus

It’s a big improvement, if you ask me.

In short, here are the new features:

  • Hydraulic disc brakes (instead of mechanical brakes).
  • A new 750 W geared motor with 25% more torque.
  • A new frame design.
  • A thinner, more portable 672 Wh battery that is partially integrated into the frame rather than sticking out like a wart.
  • A two-part display with power output, mileage, speed, etc.
  • A renewed collection of accessories, including a new rear rack, bbattery terminal cover, battery travel case and USB charger that connects to your bike’s display.
  • Mudguards are now included.
  • Cables routed inside and now easier to access thanks to a removable cover on the down tube.
  • The rear light is now perfectly integrated into the rear mudguard.
  • The controller doesn’t awkwardly protrude behind the down tube.
  • A prize of $ 2,000.

Like its predecessor, the bike still comes with a front suspension fork, large 4-inch spiked tires, throttle and Shimano 7-speed drivetrain. It’s also available in midsize and midsize frames, which should help it adapt to a wide variety of riders, and the range is estimated at 45 miles, although this will of course vary depending on your use.

The biggest disappointment for me is that the bike still uses a base 12 magnet cadence sensor. Granted, Rad has a better power curve than many, and cadence alone is understandable on more affordable bikes. But now that we are entering the territory of the Big Two – especially America’s biggest e-bike seller – I would have liked to see a more sophisticated torque transducer, especially when there are now multiple bikes sold under $ 1. $ 500 who offer one.

The bike is available for pre-order on the Rad Power Bike website now, with delivery estimated for September.

  • The Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor with Auto-IQ BN800UK has accessories for mixing and processing food, as well as a personal mixing cup. If you want a blender and food processor combo to tackle all the hashes in your kitchen.

See the best food processors for reviews from top brands like Kenwood, Bosch, and Magimix

I tried the Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor with Auto-IQ BN800UK in my own kitchen for over a month to see if it’s worth the price, and was very impressed with everything. he has to offer. As with all food processor combo machines, you’ll need a place to store other accessories when your base is on the counter, but I really appreciate the power and smart modes that this machine comes with.

Ideal Home rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Combining a powerful 1200 watt motor with intelligent Auto-IQ settings, this food processor is ideal for those looking for a multi-functional machine for their kitchen. The base is loaded with preset modes, such as blend, mash, chop, and blend modes. There are also manual knobs for mixing or chopping at low, medium and high power, as well as a pulse mode.

    Reasons to buy:

    • Smart modes for hands-free control
    • Fast and powerful chopping
    • The blade for slicing and grating is reversible
    • The timer shows how long your cycle has been running
    • Large capacity bowl and carafe
    • Personal mixing accessory
    • Multilayer blades

    Reasons to avoid:

    • It’s a heavy choice
    • If you just want a food processor you pay extra for the mixture
    • The pusher leaves a vacuum

    Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor with Auto-IQ BN800UK

    Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor: Specifications

    Equipment: Plastic
    Power: 1200 watts
Bowl size: 1.8L Food Processor Bowl, 2.1L Pitcher, 700ml Cup
Attachments : Slicing and shredding disc, dough blade, food processor blade, mixing blade
Modes: Mix, Mix Max, Chop, Mash, Mix, Low, Medium, High, Pulse
    Pulse function: Yes
    Cut: 19×25.5x48cm

Chop with the Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor

The food processor has a hash setting, which allows you to simply add your food and press the button to start. It should be secured with a snap-on lid, which is a great safety feature, but when pulled away from the bowl, it does not collapse. It takes up more space and can be a bit boring.

The food processor comes with a superimposed blade, which is multi-layered and distributed throughout the depth of the bowl. This is a cool feature that I would have liked to see in more food processors, because instead of just chopping everything at the bottom of the bowl, it can also handle it when it’s fuller. I used the Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor to chop a whole cauliflower into cauliflower rice, which can sometimes leave large chunks at the top of the bowl and mulch at the bottom. With the Ninja, this resulted in chopped cauliflower evenly throughout the bowl.

Slice with the Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor

I used the Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor to make coleslaw, chop whole cabbage, as well as carrots and red onions. Although the feed chute was a bit narrow which meant I had to cut the cabbage into eight pieces, I was impressed with how much I could put in the chopping bowl.

The measurements on the side of the bowl are also easy to read and use. They mark the liters and milliliters of the contents, which is amazing for tracking recipes.

The slicing disc is reversible. On the one hand, it can grate and grate everything from cheese to carrots. On the other, it is a disc to be sliced. I like that it’s all on one drive as it reduces storage space. However, some food processors come with different sizes of slicing and grating modes, so it would have been nice to have more options when testing.

Everything came out very evenly, but the tops of the carrots and cabbage wedges stayed in the space between the pusher and the blade. A common problem, but a bit of a problem if you are grating a pre-portioned weight of ingredients.

Mix in the Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor with Auto-IQ BN800UK

This food processor comes with a blender attachment, so you can twist it on the base and press to mix or mix to the max, depending on the toppings. There is a personal size prop, ideal for smoothies, and a large family size pitcher.

I put the big pitcher to the test to make broccoli soup and made quick (and loud) progress turning it into a smooth consistency. The cover must be folded down and you can press a side button to release it. There is also a flip-up section of the lid that opens up a perfect spout for pouring.

    The mixer, medium mixing cycle

    Cleaning the food processor

The Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor with Auto-IQ BN800UK has dishwasher-safe parts, but it is recommended that you place the lids, containers and blades on the upper rack of the dishwasher. Since they are plastic, I found it easy to clean them by hand, especially because the lower parts of the containers hold water after the dishwasher cycle is finished.

The base should be unplugged and cleaned with a damp cloth.

Should you buy the Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor with Auto-IQ BN800UK

I would recommend the Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor with Auto-IQ BN800UK for someone who wants a multi-functional machine. For my cooking, it is a first choice. I’m running out of space but need something powerful to cook in bulk and speed up the food prep process, so this food processor is on my street.

Compared to the Bosch MultiTalent 8 food processor, it has fewer accessories, but the Auto-IQ systems offer a lot more power with personalized hands-free modes. The tiered blades are also great for slicing vegetables evenly.

You’ll have to sacrifice quite a bit of space for the blender pitcher and food processor bowl when not in use, so while it acts like three devices in one, I would recommend going for something less. multifunctional if you already have a blender you’re happy and just want a food processor.

Mowing the grass is a chore just about all Eastern Texans must undertake. Mow the grass, if you have the chance you have a bag to catch all the clippings or you have to rake them, the weeds eat the edges, that’s a lot of work. However, on the many county roads in East Texas, yard mowing is a little less detailed. But keeping those clippings picked up is a must or it could cause a serious accident for our two wheeler riders.

Each East Texas summer brings out the region’s many motorcycle enthusiasts. We see them everywhere on the streets of our cities and our county roads. For the most part, this problem does not affect those inside the city limits. For those who find themselves on the many county roads of East Texas, this is where this problem is the biggest problem; cut grass on the road.

Most of the East Texas countryside dwellers will mow their backyards and pull their grass clippings from their ridings or push the mowers on the asphalt. On the one hand, it can technically be considered rubbish and you can get a ticket for it (codes.findlaw.com). Leaving your grass clippings on the road can also be a hazard for a motorcyclist.

Think about it, the thick grass that is mowed in a country yard can get very wet. This moisture can last for a while even after mowing the grass causing the pavement to be slippery which is not good for a motorcyclist.

Simple solution, when mowing along the pavement, mow three to four paths that keep the cut grass away from the road. After that, go around to pull the clippings away from the blade vent. Keep the cyclists taking advantage of the wind in their hair to continue enjoying this trip in a safe manner.

MARIETTA, OH – This was a question posed to the Facebook group MOV – What’s going on July 1, 2021. “There seems to be a continuing exodus from the region of young people. Why are people graduating and leaving the community, and what would it take in the area to get young professionals to stay? Job opportunities? Hobbies ? What is missing from the picture here? “

In less than 7 hours, the question had generated more than 350 responses, in the days to come, it would finally accumulate more than 550 comments and 100 reactions. Some of the responses were positive for the region, most were critical. Here are some of the top rated reviews. As this is a private Facebook group, users have remained anonymous.

One user said: “We have the cultural diversity of an Alan Jackson concert, the air quality of an active tire fire, and our best career prospect is to win an F150 in the Covid lottery. . “

Another user said: “There is nothing positive or progressive about MOV for a younger generation. No activity to do, no decent work and nothing but older people who are rude and unhappy.”

One user said, “They want a big city feel but won’t do what’s necessary to get it. Many people in this region will not support the arts, be it music, theater, movies, etc. They would rather complain and try to restrain themselves than support and lift their neighbor. Also you hear multiple comments saying that there is nothing to do but if something nice should be built or come to the area they destroy it and complain it is “too expensive”. Small people in a small town of spirit. Open your minds and let growth happen instead of demolishing. “

Another user said: “This is not a city to grow up. It is a city to die. No thanks.”

One user said, “Left in 2013. Stagnant wages, culturally backward, lack of diversity. Lack of opportunities. Pollution. “

This is not the opinion of everyone who lives in the area. Jesse Roush is the Executive Director of Southeastern Ohio Port Authority, but said his comments on the matter represented him as a member of the community and not as a professional port authority. He spoke about the perception that there is nothing to do in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

“The perception is there. I graduated in 2001 and it was a perception when I was 16, 17, 18.”

He is passionate about the Appalachians and Washington County in particular. He said he knows a lot of people who stayed here, but he also knows a lot of people who moved and then came back.

“We affectionately call these people boomerangs.”

He said he was working with a number of boomerangs who returned for a number of reasons, children, family, slower pace of life.

“My opinion is that this is only half of the perception. The half full part of the perception appreciates this area for what it has to offer, and understands that it is not for everyone.”

There are a few questions for people who say there is nothing to do here.

“Define what you need to make it a satisfying place to live?” If it’s Top Golf, if it’s Target, we don’t have the community demographics to back that up. “

    His other question?

“Set here? Is it Marietta over here? Is it Washington County? Is it a two hour day trip?” He pointed out that two hours from Marietta are Columbus, Akron, Canton, Morgantown, Huntington. “If you’re willing to drive a few hours, I couldn’t imagine what you might want to do that you couldn’t find to do there.”

He acknowledged that a long weekend is different from a Tuesday night. He also recognized that everyone is different and that for some people this area is not suitable according to personal taste. He said it’s possible the kind of thing you want is already here, so confirm what you want isn’t right around the corner. But if you’re looking for concert halls with 20,000 seats, we don’t have one.

“However, there is a pretty consistent live music scene thanks to Galley, Brewery and others.”

As for Roush, he loves being here. He enjoys camping and doing a lot of outdoor activities. Disc golf, hunting, fishing, hiking, biking he said he loved it all and people like him couldn’t ask for much more than what we have.

The region is changing and Roush believes there is more to do here than a few years ago. He said he had just met a few people who moved to Austin and Portland.

“They commented that Marietta is more than they remember.”

He never thought that the argument that there is nothing to do here never had much validity, but he said it had more validity just 10 years ago.

Some people don’t like the local economy and leave for better paying jobs. Roush wants to see the data because the cost of living is a factor.

“Sometimes it seems like it’s a lot more money, but a lot more doesn’t get a lot more or sometimes more once you figure out the cost of living.”

He said if we’re talking about an extra $ 25,000 a year, the start might be to your advantage, but an extra $ 10,000 a year might not go as far as you think. He also said he was sympathetic to the issue of wages, but assured me that there were people working there and that it was being seriously addressed.

One complaint Roush made was that there was nothing to do here at night but go to bars or grab fast food.

“What do you want to do in the evening that isn’t a bar or a fast food restaurant?” I don’t have that answer. What else do you want to do?

He said he enjoyed looking at comments like this through a half-full glass lens.

“There is nothing to do here, so that means there is a market opportunity. I want to be the problem solver.”

He cited a recently opened esports show in Parkersburg.

“If there is a problem, the market wants a solution. If you have a viable solution that people will give their time and money to, then you can fix it.”

Roush challenges anyone who says there is nothing to be done here, to be a leader in finding the solution.

“We have great business start-up resources here. small business development center here. The Makerspace people, BB2C over there in the western part, they’re doing great things there. ”

He pointed out that the Innovation Center in Athens is also a great resource.

“It’s a great resource in our backyard. “

He gave some advice to anyone who thinks they might not be able to start what they want.

“Maybe it’s not up to you to execute it, but there are people around you who could invest in it or bring you in as a partner. You never know, pitching an idea might get you hired. in a better position because you are presenting yourself and your ideas and you have something. If you communicate that, you never know when the opportunity will present itself to resolve this problem. “

He acknowledged that it is a great business to start something new like this.

“If you don’t like your job, don’t like where you live, and don’t want or can’t move, you still have the power to fix one or two of these issues.”

If you have to listen to just one Flatlanders record on your fan – bring just one album to the Quarantine Leper Colony – this contemporary collection gathered through five decades of the Lubbock Diaspora is THE ultimate record. of the deserted islands of the Ely / Gilmore / Hancock triumvirate. Even better, Love treasure unfolds like a live performance, both in set list and in sound. The covers run through the history of the Flatlanders, while details of Maines’ studio – buzzing solos, bloodsteel (his), sparkling acoustics, broad dobro strokes – enliven every note. Gilmore strokes the Everly Brothers station wagon “Long Time Gone”, Hancock crystallizes his Townes Van Zandt flagship element “Snowin ‘on Raton” and Ely puts the copyright on Hancock’s “Ramblin’ Man” forever. Dylan of Gilmore (“She Belongs to Me”), The Lament of a Painful Ernest Tubb Cheater by Ely (“I Don’t Blame You”), and Johnny Cash sung by Hancock (“Give My Love to Rose” ) all land as real and true as a UFO (now UAP) in the Panhandle. Back of three originals Love treasure: Hancock’s combination of “Moanin ‘of the Midnight Train” and bouncy sleeper LP “Mama Does the Kangaroo” and Ely’s companion “Satin Shoes”. The old timeless opens the proceedings alongside a scorching six-string solo from longtime Flatlanders shredder Robbie Gjersoe, while closer “Sittin ‘on Top of the World” revives Bill-exalted 1920s country blues. Monroe and Bob Wills, and famously scolded by Howlin ‘Wolf. And let’s not forget a title gem written by a pair of all-time Texans: George Jones and Jiles Perry Richardson Jr., aka the Big Bopper, who fell with Buddy Holly, Lubbock’s original flatlander. Perfect in vision, voice, harmony – not to mention timing – Love treasure offers Flatlanders par excellence.

A pannier is a bag designed to attach to a bicycle, providing an easy and comfortable way to carry items while you ride.

Saddlebags are usually attached to a component called a luggage rack, which itself is attached to the frame of the bike. Most racks are designed to attach to a specific part of the frame, usually at the rear, but sometimes at the front, of the bicycle.

The newsletter i cut through the noise

We get the word “basket” from Old Frenchbasket, which originally referred to bread baskets carried in pairs by beasts of burden. Bicycle panniers are used by all kinds of cyclists these days, from commuters carrying their work supplies, to adventurers taking provisions on a bicycle tour.

How to choose a luggage rack and a saddlebag?

We recommend that you choose a luggage rack first, as only certain racks will fit your bike.

First, you will need to identify the parts of your bike’s frame that could accommodate a luggage rack. Some bikes have eyelets on the dropouts, which are used to mount many “standard” racks. For bikes without this feature, it is sometimes necessary to mount a luggage rack on the seat post or on the front of the bike.

If you are new to saddlebags and racks, try to get advice from someone who has relevant experience before making a decision. Bicycles vary widely, and sometimes a tiny detail, such as the presence of disc brakes, can make a certain bike incompatible with a certain pannier.

Once you have chosen a luggage rack, you can move on to selecting the ideal saddlebag (s) for your needs. You need to consider factors such as the load you will need to carry and the types of saddlebags that are compatible with your rack.

M Part ATP3 Trail rear rack

M Part ATP3 Trail rear rack

Attached to : shrouds and legs (eyelets)

Made from a strong and lightweight alloy, the M Part ATP3 Trail is a brilliantly efficient solution for carrying your panniers.

The luggage rack attaches to the dropouts and seatstay, which means it’s only suitable for bikes that have eyelets on the dropouts.

The adjustable arms used to secure the rack to the seatstay slide a good distance, providing the ability to attach the rack to a variety of bike frames.

Shiny and stylish, this would be an ideal rear rack for daily commuting – although mechanically it is also suitable for getting muddy during a road bike ride.

The texture on the top of the rack adds a bit of extra grip, while the struts on each side do a great job of keeping side-mounted bags away from the rear wheel.

    Halfords rear rack

    Halfords rear rack

Attached to : shrouds and legs (eyelets)

This is a great value rear rack from Halfords.

Constructed of lightweight aluminum, the luggage rack is perfect for riders who want to carry a lot of gear without adding too much weight to their bike.

Mounting the rack is nice and easy, with simple hardware to attach the front of the rack to the bike seat post, as well as an attachment eyelet at the bottom.

The brushed finish of this rack tends to mark quite easily, but that shouldn’t detract from its functionality.

Please note that this rack is not suitable for bikes with disc brakes or rear suspension.

    Blackburn Outpost Front Rack

    Blackburn Outpost Front Rack

Attached to : frame and front legs (eyelets)

Designed for cycle tourists across the globe, the Blackburn Outpost Front Rack is a great option for riders looking for a smart way to load a lot of gear onto the front of their bike.

Perhaps the biggest advantage of this rack is its adjustability.

You can load your saddlebags on the luggage rack at different heights, which will help you get a saddlebag bag as low as possible, resulting in a desirably low center of gravity.

Plus, the top of the rack is removable, allowing for a more streamlined design when needed.

The only questionable downside to this premium rack is the price. Nonetheless, it’s a great option for serious touring.

Ortlieb Back Roller Classic QL2.1 Rear Saddlebags (Pair)

Ortlieb’s classic saddlebags work great, and they look great while they are at it, with a choice of stylish colors including orange, red, black and gray.

Rather than breaking the mold, this bag absolutely nails the basics. Its waterproof material is reliable and durable, and the roll closure is both very effective and easy to use.

Another important advantage of this bag is the sophisticated “QL2.1” system it uses to attach to the luggage rack.

This incorporates secure and adjustable fasteners both at the top and near the bottom of the rear panel.

These bags are sold in pairs, with one for each side of your luggage rack.

There’s a lot to love about this nifty Madison shoulder bag.

While the bag may look neat and small, it makes for a really efficient use of space, with flip side pockets that can increase the overall capacity to 14.6L.

Another useful feature is the pair of zippered mesh compartments on the inside of the bag shaft – ideal for stashing essentials such as travel documents or spare batteries for bicycle lights.

The exterior of the RT20 is just as feature rich as the interior, with Scotchlite reflective stripes for improved visibility, a loop for your bike’s rear light, and convenient carry handles for off-bike use.

    Type: classic (sold individually)

This bag covers the essentials very well and at a very modest cost.

Mounting on a luggage rack is simple: just use the strong clips on the rear panel of the bag, and optionally also the Velcro strap on the same side, depending on the style of luggage rack used.

We were impressed with the space and resistance to the elements of this bag.

The three compartments provide ample space for all kinds of luggage, from camping gear to laptops and lunch boxes.

And the water resistant panels on the bottom and back did a great job of keeping our things dry during a test drive.

We recommend that you use two of these bags per pair, with one on each side of your rack.

The e-JOE ONYX bills itself as a sport class commuter, so we were excited to take it out to see what it has to offer both commuters and mountain bikers. On the surface, its oversized 26 “x 2.125” tires have a serious tread, but with studs arranged to allow for a relatively smooth running surface.

Disclaimer: e-Joe has provided ONYX to the author free of charge for the purposes of this review.

The ONYX arrived in a standard e-bike shipping box and required us to connect the usual handful of components before our first ride. Specifically, the front tire had to be connected, the pedals screwed on, the headlight bolted, the handlebars connected to the stem, and the fenders fixed and adjusted.

It took me a little over 30 minutes to assemble the bike before plugging it into the charger and filling the tires with pressure. It was a simple assembly, but for those who aren’t comfortable with traditional bike maintenance and following directions, I recommend speaking with your local bike shop to see if they can assemble it. for you. Pro tip: arrange with them before the purchase and have the bike delivered to them directly. Carrying an 80 to 100 pound box halfway through town isn’t fun, and with the bike shipped in the first place, it’s easily avoided.

After the first charge I took it around the neighborhood for a quick 2 mile tuning lap, and after a few fiddling with the fenders everything was working perfectly and was ready for a ride on our 20 mile test route. Downhill at the start of the course, the rugged Bengal hydraulic disc brakes proved more than capable of reducing the speed of the bike. This is perhaps the most important test for any electric bike, because it doesn’t matter how fast a bike can go if it isn’t able to slow down when the time comes.

As the incline leveled out I played around with the throttle and found it to be much smoother than most bikes with 750 watt motors. A push from the thumb throttle provided nice extra power from the rear 750 watt MXUS motor, making it easy to move the bike from a dead stop or when powering up a short hill. .

     e-JOE ONYX Electric bike

In the plains, I had the first opportunity to play with the different levels of pedaling assistance. The small LCD controller on the handlebars makes it easy to adjust pedal assistance levels with the push of a button. As I walked through the five levels of pedal assistance, I was impressed with how smoothly all the transitions between the levels were. After a few minutes of driving on the ONYX, the switch between one of the five levels of pedaling assistance and the 7 mechanical speeds at the rear was a natural process.

The easy ramp-up from level one to level five makes the ONYX a great choice for commuters, with more gradual power curves lending itself to higher efficiency and longer range. e-Joe expects the ONYX to provide assistance up to 45 miles per charge, and in our testing we completed our 20 mile test route with over 50% charge remaining.

     e-JOE ONYX Electric bike

At the bottom of the frame, the ONYX appears to sport a mid-drive motor, but it’s actually the built-in motor controller box. The frame itself is made from 6061 aluminum alloy which helps the ONYX to be a featherweight in its class, at just 60 pounds, and that’s with a front suspension fork up front.

Our review unit was one of the first ONYX bikes built by e-Joe with the new flat front handlebars. They contribute to a more aggressive riding posture which seems to adapt to the bike better compared to the cruise bars that came on older ONYX bikes.

     e-JOE ONYX Electric bike

The ONYX comes with pretty much everything a commuter needs to get started, including a full set of mudguards, a rear rack, and a set of lights. The LED headlight is directly connected to the main battery and can be turned on by pressing and holding the + button on the controller for a few seconds. At the rear, the rear light has its own controls and must be turned on and off by itself.

All in all, the ONYX is a complete e-bike that indeed offers plenty of capabilities to have fun while ticking the boxes as a commuter. Prices for e-bikes have increased across the board this year, with most e-bikes valued in the order of $ 1,500 in 2020 reaching around $ 1,800 in 2021.

At $ 1,799, the ONYX falls squarely into the value e-bike lineup and with its efficient motor and 14Ah in-frame battery. Its lightweight frame makes it a solid option for riders looking for a bike that’s easier to move and lift with a sharp look that sets it apart from the masses.

When it comes to high-end e-bike racks, many cyclists are torn between the Thule T2 Pro XT / XTR and the Kuat NV 2.0, which we also looked at. They don’t come cheap, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality, reliability, and features. We’ve broken down the main similarities and differences to help you decide.

Thule has been around since the early 1940s, when it was founded by Eric Thulin in Sweden. Although the company first gained its reputation as a manufacturer of high-end ski racks and roof cargo boxes, he finally released his first bicycle rack in 1992. Since the classic tow bar mounted bicycle rack was first introduced to the market, Thule has gained an almost cult following among cyclists around the world. for its high quality products.

Both brackets are available in 1.25 and 2 inch hitch sizes and will fit a wide range of vehicles. They also weigh around 52 pounds. Each bike rack holds two bikes and can hold up to four with add-ons sold separately.

The Thule rack can hold two 60-pound bikes for a maximum load capacity of 120 pounds. It supports tires up to 5 inches wide and a wheel up to 29 inches. You can safely transport carbon fiber frames and e-bikes with big tires.

You will find the same bike and the same weight capacity on the NV 2.0. This Kuat bike carrier will also fit 20 to 29 inch tires, although you will need an adapter for 20 to 24 inch wheels. It comfortably fits wheelbases up to 50 inches. Where the Thule naturally accepts wide tires, you will need to use a Phat Bike Kit (sold separately) to haul such wide tires on the NV 2.0.

Attaching the two e-bike racks to your vehicle is a fairly simple and straightforward process. The Thule does not require additional tools to attach or remove the mount. Kuat NV 2.0 also offers keyless installation, but you will need a key to remove it. It could be a problem if you leave for the day and forget your key at home.

Loading and unloading heavy e-bikes can be a workout in itself. Kuat has a slight advantage over the Thule here, as you can purchase a ramp for easier loading. Dual luggage racks lock your precious cargo in place and have reliable measures to prevent bikes from shifting once you hit the road. On the Thule, the long arms slide to accommodate the different wheels. You’ll find swing arms that slide to keep bikes stable on the Kuat, as well as adjustable arms to accommodate different wheel sizes.

Each rack has a unique feature that makes it particularly attractive. If you frequently repair apartments and do tune-ups on the fly, Kuat’s integrated bike work stand might make more sense. The Thule rack has casters for easier transport and storage.
